Taub Family Vyds Oakville Merlot 2017

Grapes are harvested, destemmed, and sorted by hand. Cold soak for 3-5 days, followed by 14 days fermentation with 3 daily pump-overs, and an additional 10 days maceration. Transferred to French oak barrels (50% new) for malolactic fermentation and 22 months ageing. Fruit-driven aromas of boysenberry, strawberry, and plum with subtle notes of sandalwood, black tea, graham cracker, and vanilla. The palate opens soft and silky followed by bright acidity and firm structure. The wine is elegant, beautifully balanced with mouthwatering fruit and a soft, persistent finish.
