Description
It is rich with classic Chardonnay characteristics that are enhanced on the nose by the bourbon ageing, and felt on the palate with the savory notes and heat of alcohol on the finish. I think a unique aspect of the wine is the blending of a small amount of Viognier. Viognier adds a delicious apricot aroma and richness to the overall blend and is very complimentary to flavors imparted by the bourbon barrels. There are elements in bourbon that have a touch of ripe apricot in the aroma.
